Copyright and licensing

Copyright information

This site uses layered licensing. It licenses only material that it owns or has authority to license; third-party works are never automatically included.

Default text license

Unless an entry or passage says otherwise, original text that this site has the right to license is available under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). This does not mean the site owns rights in the works, people, brands, or media described by an entry.

You may

  • Copy, redistribute, and share licensed text for noncommercial purposes.
  • Translate, revise, or build upon licensed text for noncommercial purposes.

You must

  • Attribution: identify the entry, this site or the designated attribution party, and link to the source page.
  • License: link to CC BY-NC-SA 4.0.
  • Changes: say whether you translated, excerpted, reorganized, or added to the material.
  • NonCommercial: do not use the material primarily for commercial advantage or monetary compensation.
  • ShareAlike: distribute adaptations under the same or a compatible license.

Recommended attribution

“Entry title,” KAMITSUBAKI Fan Wiki contributors, source: https://kamitsubaki.wiki/en/…, CC BY-NC-SA 4.0; translated and excerpted.

Excluded from the default 4.0 license

  • Images, cover art, screenshots, illustrations, character designs, and photographs.
  • Lyrics, audio, video, music, performances, and content delivered by embedded third-party players.
  • Logos, trademarks, and branding owned by KAMITSUBAKI, THINKR, or other rightsholders.
  • Material marked “rights reserved” or “used with authorization.”
  • Text from another website, publication, or author that is offered under different terms.
  • Site source code and software files in the repository.

Third-party text under other licenses

Text copied, translated, or adapted from a third party remains under its original license. Affected entries should identify the source page, attribution, and changes; that material is not automatically upgraded to this site’s 4.0 license.

Contributions

The contribution interface does not currently obtain a blanket CC license. Material submitted by another contributor is covered by CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 only when the rightsholder separately gives clear permission or the relevant license is recorded on the entry. Otherwise, the contributor retains their rights.

Other notices

Facts, public-domain material, and uses permitted without authorization by law are not additionally restricted by this notice. Licensed material is provided as-is without warranties of completeness, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. Publicity, privacy, trademark, and other rights may still restrict a particular use.
