Overview
RIME (裏命) is the third voice synthesis software in KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO’s “Musical Isotope” (音楽的同位体) series. It is built using AI technology based on the vocal data of virtual singer RIM (理芽) to generate highly realistic singing voices.
Running on the CeVIO AI platform, the name “RIME” is derived from the concept of “RIM + ECHO”. She inherits the combination of transparency and mysterious vibes from RIM’s voice, while exhibiting powerful emotional expression.
Character and Creative Positioning
Designed by PALOW., RIME’s visual features include white hair with deep blue highlights and an eight-pointed star hair accessory, giving her a cool and cybernetic look. In terms of vocal performance, RIME is equipped with realistic breathing sounds and delicate vocal control, allowing her to deliver strong emotional resonance across fast-paced electronic, rock, or slow ballad genres.
As a member of the Musical Isotope series, she is positioned as a “creative partner” for creators. Within the UGC (User Generated Content) ecosystem, many creators have used RIME to publish a vast collection of diverse derivative works.

Basic Profile and Character Setting
RIME is a CeVIO AI singing-synthesis product and character based on RIM’s vocal data. It preserves the transparency and strangeness associated with the source voice while remaining an independent creative identity.
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Voice source | RIM |
| Platform | CeVIO AI and VOICEPEAK TALK EXTENSION |
| Character design | PALOW. |
| Main projects | Paranormal, RIME song contest |
Representative Songs and Creator Ecosystem
“Insect Plant” is an official demonstration cover connecting RIM’s catalogue to RIME, while “Mandarin” demonstrates RIME as an independent synthetic singer. The Paranormal compilation series gathers UGC works into a formal release history, and the RIME song contest extends the ecosystem to original songs and music videos.
When cataloguing a work, distinguish RIM’s performance, a RIME performance, and a duet between RIM and RIME. TALK EXTENSION expands the project from singing into speech expression.
Official Music and Community Works
RIME’s history differs from that of a conventional solo artist: demonstrations, contests, and creator compilations are the primary milestones. The Paranormal releases should therefore be read as a creator-community archive as well as a music release series.
Related Projects / Setting
RIME is a core member of the “Musical Isotope Project” initiated by KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO. Using virtual singers’ vocal data to create synthesis software, this project allows RIM’s voice to transcend standard vocal performances and become a versatile musical material for creators to restructure infinitely.
